Journalist first, public speaker and trainer, and then academia — in that order.
Prior to becoming an award winning public speaker and a scholar, I have spent about two decades as a journalist reporting and writing for ThisDay Newspapers in Nigeria and later as an independent international journalist. My reporting on health care earned me the Media Merit Award for Excellence in Health Care Reporting, presented by Johns Hopkins University and the Nigerian Institute of Journalism.
My Ph.D. in Communication, from Liberty University in the United States, examined why false information spreads and how communicators can counter it. That research now shapes the training and consulting work I do today.
Through AD Communication Consulting, I manage public relations and social media for business clients and train corporate teams in communication. I'm a Distinguished Toastmaster who has trained more than 500 public speakers, and I work as a Master of Ceremonies for corporate events, conferences, galas, weddings, and community gatherings.

Hosting
I host corporate events, conferences, galas, weddings, and community gatherings, and have worked as an MC for more than five years, at roughly one event a month. I introduce speakers, guide the program, and keep the room on schedule and at ease.

Coaching
One-on-one coaching or group workshops for anyone who needs to speak with more confidence, built on the curriculum I use to teach public speaking: audience analysis, structure and delivery, presenting on camera and virtually, and special-occasion speaking such as toasts and introductions.
Consulting
Through AD Communication Consulting, I manage public relations and social media for business clients and train corporate teams in communication and messaging. As a volunteer, I run digital communication for the Project Management Institute in Atlanta, reaching 5,000+ members on LinkedIn.
Journalism
Eighteen years of newsroom reporting and writing, at ThisDay Newspapers and as an international freelance journalist. Available for freelance reporting, feature writing, and columns, particularly on health, communication, and media.
Editing
I've been through the full dissertation process myself, and I edit theses, dissertations, and journal articles for clarity, structure, and APA style. I edit and coach; I don't write assignments or dissertations for students.
